Yamamoto lab- Think outside the cell

Understanding dynamic cell-matrix communications in health and diseases

The extracellular matrix (ECM) is not merely a structural scaffold but a dynamic environment that regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration. Our team studies how proteinases and endocytosis control cell–ECM communication to maintain tissue homeostasis and how its disruption contributes to disease.

・On 24th June, just before our M1s heading to the conference at Waseda and then on to the summer school in South Korea, they have prepared wonderful gifts for our B4s to wish them the very best in their upcoming Master’s entrance examinations. Such a thoughtful gesture and a great example of the supportive culture we’re building in the lab. I think this is going to become one of our lab’s traditions!

・On 5th June, Kazu was  invited to give a seminar at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). A special thank you to Nanami Nishijima for the kind invitation and for giving me the opportunity to meet your mentor, Professor Yoshio Kato. I look forward to further developing our collaboration!
